Hachiko was an Akita dog born in 1923 in Japan who became a worldwide symbol of loyalty and devotion. After the death of his owner, Professor Hidesaburo Ueno, Hachiko continued to return to Shibuya Station every day for nearly ten years, waiting for a master who would never come home. His story has moved millions, inspired films, statues, and a bronze monument at Shibuya that remains one of Tokyo's most beloved landmarks. This tee honours one of history's most remarkable animals.
